Those videos are awesome, man! I like seeing the work that went into any game. So cool. Most of the time you have to buy a collectors edition to see that kind of stuff.
Yeah - it gives me such an appreciation for the game and makes me feel much better about dropping hard earned $$$ for it. Developers/publishers should be more proactive about creating and distributing this kind of content as PR for the game instead of relying on others to do it for them.
Yeah, I always forget how much time and effort goes into making these things. When you think about all the blood, sweat, and tears that go into a game - 60 bucks really doesn't seem like that much at all.
Shhhhhh :p. 60 bucks is PLENTY. I'm all about supporting the people who make games, but if you're buying a game at retail, you're paying the publisher. I'm worried that if games keep going up in price like they have been, recreational gaming will become too expensive for me and my friends. There's a good post on The Escapist about the rise in price for Modern Warfare 2 in the UK:
The article and the comments from The Escapist community illustrate the circular logic publishers use to justify raising their prices. 40 dollars is my sweet spot. If I could buy a game on release for $40, I would pay that price for a game I don't know much about. With the current $60 rate, I have to do some research to find the games (like Uncharted 2) that are actually worth the price tag for me. I think publishers are doing a shitty job of getting more people playing games. They're doing great at quietly taking more of our money without any justification to the people they sell to.

Really glad you showed me those, but now I have another reason (I think I'm up to... 3?) to buy a PS3.
Might happen...
