Fallout 3 is really owning up to be a stellar game. It's won my attention against many other great games that released near it. I'll definitely be getting back to Mirror's Edge, Gears 2 and Left 4 Dead.

I'm starting to learn the map pretty damn good now - feeling more free. Still - where am I in the greater scheme of accomplishing the main goal / how close am I to completing the game? No idea.
If a mind is a terrible thing to waste, and a PC is a mechanical mind, then it's good to know that your mind isn't wasted.

Far Cry 2 was a bit of slow start for me. The tips are certainly helpful but I've come to realize that I enjoy a discreet "how-to-play" walk through that games like COD4 offered. Crysis - a Crytek game - is a good example of getting into the excitement of the game immediately and then learning slowly/as you go.
The game itself is really a hell of a lot of fun and I enjoy the more open-world feel this game offers as opposed to Crysis. Much of it feels like Questing in a MMO but in a FPS play-style - which I like.
There's a deep story-line there and, although I haven't payed close attention to it, you get make many of you're own choices (sides and alliances) which effect your game-play.
I look forward to seeing this one through :)
